Dan Rosengard — Piano

Dan Rosengard

A native of Boston, Dan studied piano privately and at the New England Conservatory of Music.  He later attended Columbia University, and graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Piano Performance.  As a pianist/keyboardist, Dan has appeared with artists as diverse as Billy Joel, Deborah Gibson, Anthony Newley, choreographer Jennifer Muller, The Manhattan Rhythm Kings, Vince Giordano's Nighthawks, and Tavares.  Dan has also acted as musical director for an impressive list of theater and television including “Saturday Night Live.”

Doug Wieselman — Clarinet

Doug Wieselman

Doug Wieselman has worked as composer, arranger and musician with a variety of artists in different fields – in theater - with director Robert Woodruff and the Flying Karamazov Brothers, in dance with Jerome Robbins and Paul Taylor, and as musician with Victoria Williams, Tricky, Anthony Coleman, Laurie Anderson, and more.  He is currently composing music for the animated Nickelodian show "The Backyardigans.”

Matt Munisteri — Banjo

Matt Munisteri

Guitarist, singer, and songwriter Matt Munisteri is a Brooklyn native who grew up as almost assuredly the only bluegrass banjo player on his block. His lifelong interest in 20 century American music led him from finger-style Country and Ragtime guitar, through Blues, to Tin Pan Alley and Jazz. His own music reflects this life-long devotion to the history of American Popular song and demonstrates a unique synthesis of rural and urban, long-gone and contemporary.  Matt has performed with many greats including Diana Krall, Madeleine Peyroux, and Bucky Pizzarelli and many more.

Michela Marino Lerman — Tap Dancer

Michela Marino Lerman

Michela Marino Lerman is a tap dancer and New York City native.  She has been tap dancing since the age of 5, and made her first appearance on Sesame Street at this time.  Since then she has found herself teaching and performing across the globe.  In 2002, Michela was showcased on the cover of Dance Teacher Magazine with Gregory Hines, in 2005 was named as one of the 20 hottest tap dancers under 20, in 2008 Dance Magazine named her as the only female tap dancer in it’s “25 to Watch in 2008”and in 2012 was featured in the NY Times.  Michela is the only lifetime honorary female member of the legendary tap dance group The Copasetics.  She runs the only weekly tap jam in NYC at the great Smalls Jazz Club and monthly sessions at Fat Cat.  She has performed and/or collaborated with with such musical greats as Benny Golson, Nicholas Payton, Roy Hargrove, Marcus Strickland, Ravi Coltrane, Rasheed Ali, Frank Lacy, Joe Sanders, Ben Williams, Reggie Workman, Jennifer Holliday, and Theo Hill to name a few. Michela is eternally grateful for the mentoring and guidance given to her by Dr. James “Buster” Brown, Gregory Hines, Leroy Myers, and Marion Coles. She has taught in numerous schools, studios, programs, and festivals throughout the world. As a performer, teacher, director, and choreographer Michela is dedicated to spreading the art of tap around the world.

Steven Bernstein — Cornet

Steven Bernstein

Steven Bernstein is a trumpeter/slide trumpeter, bandleader, arranger, and composer who lives outside of musical convention.  He has toured the world, winning numerous awards, and has had music featured on MTV, Saturday Night Live, in films, and NPR.  Bernstein is a top call musician for creative music and has played with such artists as Don Byron, Medeski Martin & Wood, Courtney Love, and many more.

Vincent Gardner — Trombone

Vincent Gardner

Vincent Gardner is an American trombonist and composer.  Gardner has released four albums on SteepleChase Records and also performs and records in a group with his brother, trumpeter Derrick Gardner.  He is the lead trombonist for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and performs all over the world as a top call musician in many groups including Marcus Roberts, Nicholas Payton, Lizz Wright, and more.
